TEAC A-6010 GSL

Description

The TEAC A-6010 GSL 4-track tape deck, presented here, is a rare to find, high quality equipment, designed to serve those audiophiles who are critical in sound. It was, at its launch in the 70s, presented in the “professional” class.
It features an extra playback head for automatic reverse play which eliminates the need for turning the tape over when the end of the reel is reached. Also, all 3 heads (2 for playing and 1 for recording) are from
high density ferrite
and do not show ANY signs of wear (!) – see enlarged pictures…
Analogue devices, like this R2R deck, vinyl players, tube amplifiers, and alike, are the joy of the spirit of those in search of natural, warm sound…
Like other more modern professional “brothers”, it has BIAS adjustment in two stages, to fit a broader kind of tapes on the market. A RARE feature is the automatic return at end of tape, which is not only possible by a metallic section of tape (like many other decks), but also by recording a low frequency signal on the tape (see instructions in the manual for that…)
You cannot find another TEAC A-6010 GSL in such a good working condition as this one!

Original documentation, spare parts (another set of hub rubber tape holders, a microphone, fuses..), and even the original invoice from 1972 included! See the pictures! Instruction manuals on paper, but also a CD with the service manual. As BONUS, I added two original tapes with Andy Williams and Brahms’ concertos and an empty reel to ensure you have something to start listening right away...
The tape deck was recently cleaned, lubricated and adjusted, so it has years ahead of trouble free service…
